Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (R.T.L.B)
Years 2 to 6
RTLB are specialist itinerant teachers who provide learning and behaviour support to a cluster of kura/schools. They work together with the school and teachers to find solutions for student learning and behaviour needs. We will discuss with you if we believe your child would benefit from referral to this service.
Resource Teacher of Literacy (R.T.Lit)
Years 2 to 6
Individualised instruction (similar to Reading Recovery Programme and SLS) three times a week 30 minute instruction in the language areas of talking, reading, comprehending, for students who require 1-on-1 instruction to boost confidence, language skills and knowledge of English for students who have not reached chronological reading age. We will discuss with you if we believe your child would benefit from referral to this service.
LLI (Language Learning Intervention)
LLI programme for thirty minutes daily with instruction that includes talking, reading, comprehending, for the four who require 1-on-1 intervention to boost confidence, language skills and understanding of English. We will discuss with you if we believe your child would benefit from referral to this service.
Speech / Language
Years 1 to 6
Individualised instruction from Ministry appointed speech therapists who visit school fortnightly (for students who meet MoE approval).
ORS (On-going Resource Scheme)
Years 1 to 6
Intervention for students with special needs. Mainly funded by Ministry, topped from schools SEG (Special Education Grant). These students, funded through ORS, receive teacher aide hours per day. The school’s philosophy is that they do not become dependent on their teacher aides assistance, but instead encouraged towards independence, and socialisation. Hours received by each student depend on the degree of the disability. We will discuss with you if we believe your child would benefit from referral to this service.
